Procede help!

Hello, today I was installing my procede and I got all the way up to the last part were you take out the orange wire and put it into the black female connecter. The problem is that I seem to have broke the orange wire at the point where it connects to the black female wire. I started the car with it being broken and I got a check engine light after idling for about 2 minutes. What should I do? Thanks in advance, and I'll try to post pics up.

Are you talking about the 12v power wire that goes inbetween the OEM green harness black wire? (Where it says, "Do not force" in the video"? If so, You'll have to get a new connector. For now, I would connect press the connectors together and tape them together. It happened to me once at the track this summer. Come to think about it, I still haven't replaced it!!! So thanks to you!

Just send an email to robert@vishnutuning.com and he can send you a new terminal to crimp on. It's a 30 second job

BrianMN, yes that is the wire I'm talking about, I did attempt to use electrical tape and it did start but I eventually got a half engine light after a few minutes of idling.
Thanks a lot Shiv, ill be emailing him soon. Would I crimp the new terminal to the orange wire? And do I need a crimping tool to do the job?

Yes, you can use a generic crimping tool (or a pair of needle nose pliers in a pinch) to crimp the terminal on the orange wire. For the time being, you can use a set of alligator clips to keep everything hooked up. Just remember next time to not get all Macho Man Randy Savage on that connector

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask about the half engine light... Is that due to the power wire being broken and held together loosely by electrical tape or could it be another issue? Is a half engine light typical for erroneous installs?

I think that is more than likely. Just make that connection and clear codes using the Procede (double throttle pump with ignition on). And you should be good to go.

I broke this connector twice and decided to just fix the cause rather than putting a new crimp on it constantly. I copied what Scalbert did in this thread:
