First E90post.com Emergency POV???

So, before anyone asks if it's legal, it is not legal, but for members of the fire deparment here in Katy such as myself, it can only be legally used in my jurisdiction when responding. In my jurisdiction, I'm allowed to legally have red & blue lights and sirens on my POV when responding to the station for a call as a firefighter.

So I thought I'd share it with the E90Post family on how it's coming along...

Just a quick sneak peek... Going to be picking her up today and will post up a video and better pictures later...

And as far as me as a driver, I am very responsible and know the consequences of having/using this setup. Especially representing my department, fellow BMW owners, and myself... So, I'm not some immature punk kid who does things irresponsibly.

If I were you I would have tried to work some blue/red flashing LEDs into the rectangular cutouts of the tails. I'm not sure if it would work, but it would be a very clean install. But regardless, fits that car well

Custom setup done by a Chief at my fire department for me. Had a pretty difficult time to keep everything discreet and not take away too much from the car.

Those were a custom setup for the ride. The standard stuff they sell on the market were to thick, so he had to building a slim-slim bar for mine.

Thanks man... Actually, I don't get paid to be a firefighter... The surrounding areas of Houston, i'm on the west in Katy, are all supported by volunteers. Of course, you have to go through the 6 month academy, become a state certified firefighter, and an approved active member for at least 2yrs, plus approval from all the officers and chiefs to be allowed to get these installed without breaking the law.

Yea, I have the same concerns, but the good thing is we have about 5 different police jurisdictions in our territory and they all know some of us have them. Now, going into Houston jurisdiction, all depends on the cop. But as long as we're not reckless and stupid with it, it should be ok. Like trying to pull someone over for fun or flashing them when theres no emergency reason. It just part of the responsibilty and consequences I have to deal with when the time comes and with having these on the car.
