Has anyone gone to Grove City for Outlet Shopping?

Hey guys,

Planning a trip to Grove City for some outlet shopping. If you don't know where it is, here is the address:

Premium Outlets, 1911 Leesburg Grove City Rd, Grove City, PA 16127, USA

Was trying to figure out where would be a good break spot, other than Niagara Falls, because its still a 4 hour drive from Niagara Falls to the destination spot. Has anyone driven there for outlet shopping? And is there a good spot along the way in the US to stop? Perhaps eat, or a nice hotel to spend the night?

If not, I think Ill take the family early in the morning and drive to Niagara Falls, have lunch there, and then drive for some outlet shopping. Then drive back to Niagara Falls for Dinner and sleep at a hotel, and then hang out a bit on Sunday at the Falls before driving home.

Last time I went, I spent the night in Buffalo and went to Grove City from there. There wasn't anything interesting along the way from what I remember...

There's hardly anything along the way. If you want to spend the night, do Buffalo rather than Niagara. That way you can bring back more. I believe the limit for 24 hrs now is $250/person but if you spend 48 hrs in US the limit is $800. There's not a whole lot to do in Buffalo but Anchor Bar is always nice for wings. Have a fun drive and watch out for the POLICE - they hide everywhere.

Check out Tanger's Outlet as well. It's another 1.5hr from Grove City, but it's newer and close to Pittsburgh. Leave at 5AM, there by 10AM, spend the night there, then hit Grove City on the way back.

I go to Grove city twice a year as I have family I go to see in Pittsburgh. The prices are great because there is no sales tax on clothing in PA. The drive isn't too long either. Grove city has a ton of hotels now as canadians are flocking there for the shopping. But you can also stay in Erie which is about 1 hour away.
On the way we usually stop at the Eden Angola rest stop on the I90. There's a McDonald's, Subway, and Moes burrito there as well as Lavazza coffee.

Its a good shopping trip. If you need any more info feel free to PM me.

There is also a mall in Erie that is not too bad. Smaller size not as big as walden. It has a Macy's and a costume jewelry shop called something like "amazing Charley's" with cheap nice stuff (according to them) that the wife's go crazy for. A dicks sporting store in area too Your in pa so no tax compared to walden. There is a couple of restaurants there too. Olive garden, Quaker steak and ale ( wings) plus a few other nicer places. Google it to check it out.

I have been there more than a dozen times. it's about 2.5 hrs from Niagara but crossing at the peace bridge shortens the drive a bit and is faster getting through the border.
book a hotel in advance you will save time and wont spend time driving around trying to find a place and lately there is a lot more cdns at grove city.
No need to stay in buffalo just keep going and as another poster said watch out for troopers.

Premium Outlets are the best.
I go to them twice a year either at Dallas or Chicago.
But I think Ive been to that one too.

If you got CAA go to the foodcourt info booth and show your CAA and get discount booklet which gives you additional discounts on top of what is running in the store. If you dont have one you can borrow mine for your trip.

As for in the way go drop by Ellicottville. Nice town.
Eat here!!!!!

Here is the best route through that area. This was supposed to be one of my Saturn's Drive. THe roads through this are ais FAR from boring!

Rte.44. 60+ miles without a stop sign or traffic light, lined by trees and hardly any driveways

From Corsica then just head to Grove city.

+1... I did this same route the last time down in Grove City... Ellicottville is nice and you will love the roads and scenery... Just watch out for the troopers...they love Bimmers with wheels, tints and Ontario plates...

Go to Grove City... It's way more than just "clothing stores" like at Niagara Fashion Outlet....plus...There is NO sales tax on clothing in Pennsylvania if that's what you are indeed going shopping for...

Pretty easy drive.

You should plan to go to Pittsburgh and hit a Costco as well to make it worthwhile.
