Right Turn at Red Light Camera

Made a right turn at an angled intersection eg. a wider than normal right turn. I must have rolled through the intersection without fully stopping. Whats the fine you say? Let me check here...

$325.

Really? It was $180 about a year ago, I'm told. Goddamit, I needed a new harddrive.

stop sign is $180, but a controlled intersection is $325.

Ouch.

I fought my ticket and it got reduced to "failing to yield" ..

Just show up at court after 14 days the ticket was issued, plead guilty and negotiate for a lower fine and a payment period of N months then you are good. It won't even show up on your insurance records as there is no proof of who was actually operating the vehicle.

Yes, red light cameras do not have points associated with their fines.

From what I've read, its almost impossible to get a reduction. Maybe I'll try anyway.

It is indeed possible to reduce - just be sincere and dress nice to court. I had mine reduced to $80 with a 6 month time frame to pay.

Same thing happened to me several years ago. Turn right at red light, saw the camera flash, but never received ticket in mail. They must have ran out of film.

Catch, this particular camera was at Militray Trail / Ellesmere. There is a list either on the MTO website, or you can find one at RedFlagDeals or something similar showing locations. This ticket is the same for any rolling stop at a red light. Be warned guys!

I guess I'll have to send a friend or something. I dont get another day off until May lol.

Same thing for me too...
I told the judge but I slowed down, she was like yes but it was still a red light which means stop. After that ticket, I now stop at red lights when turning left.
