Creaks and Clunks

Hi Folks,

2 Questions and looking for advice.

1) Have any of you noticed a "creak" coming from the passenger side seat. Specfically on acceleration. It seems to be coming from the plastic seat adjustment console. its not very solid if you know what i mean. Any solutions? Like spraying silicone lube around that area? Any advice would be great.

2) I have had what seems to be a differential clunk for a while now. Upon initial acceleration in reverse and braking, there is a clunk as if something slid and hit the end under the car. You can feel and hear it. It happens often, yet when i take it to the dealer, they cant reproduce it! Anyone else have this issue? Covered under CPO?

3) Crunch noise while going over speedbumps....Ive had my swaybar replaced but the noise returned shortly after. It seems to go away with sunny whether and return during rainy weather.

Thanks guys!

I had similar issue to 2), my car is 6MT...mine was most obvious when I change direction forward/backward...the fix was to add some locktite to the drive shaft flange somewhere near the differential...Was covered by new car warranty...

I had this differential noise, and fixed under warranty.
Basically a lube job, I asked if it will come back in the future, never got a response. Driving for 2 years since, and its all quiet.

I have had seat creak #1, but with the drivers seat (I'm a big guy). Happened on hard acceleration and braking, like the seat was shifting back and forth in the rack. Dealer took seat apart, tightened the bolts, put it back together - all under warranty.

How much does your girlfriend weigh?

No experience with #2 and #3.
