Small Update with the Scenical PNW

Not sure why/how, but i just now found out about the alignment pins in the front struts...So I got it removed this weekend and picked up the camber from removing them.

Took the opportunity to lower some more lol.

And I finally ordered m3 sides, after many suggestions and especially after seeing Jmeas's at a photoshoot.

P.S. I have not shot with a DSLR for 1.5 years...borrowed this Nikon from a buddy...So don't judge too much lmao.

Thanks for looking!

Great looking car!

Can you tell me more about these alignment pins and what removing them does? I am on sport suspension. Would removing these actually lower from front end slightly? Any negatives to doing this?

With the pins the front camber is limited to right about -1.0, more if you are lowered past a certain height. But with the pins removed, supposedly you can pick up another -0.5 camber? I read a few posts on e90post and also saw this guy's thread - http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=521177

But i have not yet gotten an alignment so i cannot backup how much camber i really i did get. I was at -1.05 before. Guessing -1.3 now? When i moved the strut it didn't seem like it moved that much lol.

And as far as height from camber...i think there's a slight connection but i've never been able to really prove it or understand it. Negatives would be the camber on your tires, but I personally don't think the -0.5 or less is considered a drawback.

random but do you know how many inches your aero lip sits above the ground? I'm trying to find a good ride height right now and i'm way too low, scraping over everything. how's the daily drive for your on that height? and of course car's looking AMAZING

Not random at all lol. The oem aero lip tucks and points upwards...so front clearance wise it is actually perfect for what im trying to do. It is at about 2.8 inches-ish. But sideskirts right behind front wheels and bumper right infront of the front wheels are much lower, at like 2.3 inches or something.

Used to have a wrx with a front lip that sat barely off the ground lol, scraped for days. This set up is much more realistic comparably but i occasionally rub tires all around now (used to be just the rear).

thanks so much for the reply, i had a lip on my m3 and it was slamed but i never had trouble, but now that i think about it i think it's because i had aftermarket rims (actually had the same rims you have ) so it looked lower, since i'm on stock rims on my e92 it looks higher even when in reality i'm lower.. (if that makes any sense at all lol) but once again thanks for the reply!

You're talking in terms of rim to fender height it sounds like?

Well with 19s and a bit lowered, you will "look" lower than if lowered on 18s judging by rim to fender.

BUT, the 19s set up with average tire sizing, you will actually be higher than on 18s set up with average tire sizing.

Confusions ftw.
