long term costs of 335i?

So... before I purchased my 335, I did a lot of reasearching, thought about it and then pulled the trigger.

Since I've had the car... it has been in the shop 3 times (Since December 2012) for front end issues and a new blower motor. They have finally identified the front end problems and will fix it for good next week.

So, now because of this I am starting to think about the long term costs of this car...

We read many threads on problems people are experiencing... how about those who havent experienced any with their 335?

Anyone out there who has had no issues and just regular wear and tear? I know there was a guy who did 250 k miles....

Long way to go for me, but maybe one day!

Some guy on here with 199k miles... I think his name is Bryan.
335s are not usually commuter cars.

Drove my 2007 E90 335i from 30k-99k miles with minor problems like HPFP once, LPFP once, 2 o2 sensors and both wastegate actuators once. I was tuned through out the 70k miles too. Besides these problems I stated the car was pretty solid considering I put these 70k miles on my car in less than 2 years...Was driving back and forth from SD to LA 4 days a weak :-/

My 2010 E90 M 335i has been an AMAZING car so far. Purchased it with 17k miles and I've literally had zero problems. I haven't been to the dealer for any work in over 5 months which is pretty amazing considering I'm tuned, FBO and running e-85. I think BMW finally fixed all the bugs on the 2010 models since it was the last cycle of N54's.

My buddies 2011 E92 M 335i (N55) has been in and out of the dealer several times. He hates the car. He's had it shut off while driving on the freeway..., transmission problems etc. and oh yeah, it's slow.

I think you might have just bought one of those problematic 335's :-/

I'm on my first 335i (2011 E92). I've had it for about 2,000 miles and have had ZERO issues. Not one. Absolutely nothing has EVER gone wrong with this car for the 3 weeks I've owned it. Therefore this car is unbreakable. N55 335i is the best, most reliable BMW evar.

Had mine for about 30k miles now (38k to 68k) and beyond maintenance (sparkplugs, brakes, tires, fluids) I've had replaced the windshield washer pump (today actually), a rear window regulator, a fuel sensor and had the intakes walnut blasted. Had Cobb throughout the entire period. I've owned Alfa Romeo's before and am NOT complaining.

I got kind of tricked, I was expecting pics of a E93 with it's top down but alas nothing.

Totally agree with you on the forum thing. Every car forum I've been on is mostly people with something wrong with their car. But to me that's what the forums are for. So that if you can't figure it out maybe someone can help you especially those out of warranty, which now these cars are getting older seems to be every other thread.

For real. Only reason I came to this thread was to see these topless chicks

(I've had my 335i for 20k miles since 48k and it's been going well. A few repairs but nothing too out of the ordinary (valves cleaned -- under warranty, spark plugs replaced, window regulator -- CPO)
