I don't mean to rain on your parade, but why would you choose arguably BMW's most aggressive paint color for your bone stock looking car.
At least throw an M-tech kit on there at least and don't spend the cash to paint multiple bumpers. Its just such an aggressive finish on an otherwise stock looking car, its looks out of place to me. The bright orange M3 GTS paint scheme only works because the car is super aggressive, it would look lame on a regular 3-series. Love the color though.

That color is full of win. I'm assuming it changes colors based on sunlight?

During broad daylight, the color is grey with a bit of metallic/silverish. The more sunlight, the better it looks. Around late afternoon, the custom powdercoat storm grey wheels give the car - wheel combo more contrast & the car looks very aggressive. At night, it looks good also, but not as good as daylight. The car gets checked out a lot everywhere I go.. Even cops at the intersections take a glance at my car too. Can't wait for the goodies to arrive (bmw performance, Vorsteiner's, & Eisenmann's stuff...). Definitely lots of pictures are coming once it's done... |

That frozen grey colour is sick. period. Thats a steal for $1800 bucks! Do you have to take special care with it like the M3 owners?

Thanks for your compliment. I really like the paint job too. My car is the first frozen grey bmw in HCM city, if not Vietnam...
Yeah, 1 good thing about developing countries is cheap labor. so $1800 is actually not so cheap for a paint job. I've heard of $700 paint job... but of course the quality is not gonna be like my paint job. Regarding to the special care with the paint job. Not at all. I honestly dont care much about paint degrading. I might change the car in a year or 2, depending on how good the F30 is. I think the paint job is still good until then. If not, I can always have it repainted again. |
