Where to go for audio?

Who is the go to person/ company for audio? I’m looking for a P&P harness to piggy back a 2 channel amp from a HK amp to the under seat woofers.

Perhaps consider a Technics harness which would give you the RCA output you require to feed the additional amp. You can PM him and ask if it's doable with your current setup etc).

Thanks Raj. You can only post visitor messages to Technics and he has not responded. Not even sure if he will ship to the UK.

Yes he ships to the UK and the harness is robust. Mine came to about £38 inc. shipping, customs duty etc. He can custom make a harness depending on your needs. I was initially in talks to have a harness made to run a JL 600/6 but decided to order the Hi-Fi add a sub harness instead. I love the fact it looks OEM, it is a reversible mod (no cutting and splicing of wires at all) and it is even idiot proof with labels on the wires that are discrete and understandable. The man is a legend. There must be many happy ears out there due to his harness. I don't think he is as active on here as much these days so drop him an e-mail from the website link.

Thats a very good price. The cheapest harness he does now is $85 + delivery.

Ordered. $85 shipped plus shipping $35. Very happy though to have something plug and play and the price is not unreasonable. I'm going to connect a JL Audio XD200/2v2 to the HK amp to drive the under seat woofers. Fingers crossed it will be just enough to give the HK system a bit of punch that it lacks.

You can use any 4 awg power cable and purchase the connector from bmw I'm sure they are available, the blue thing in the pic above is a line out converter if you've ordered a pnp harness you shouldn't need one.

Any good audio shop will sell the ring connector in different sizes.

Or search online: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...ring+connector

All you need is a crimping tool and plier to secure it in place.

Yes the converter comes with the harness depending on which harness you have ordered. He sells everything you need so the harness is completely plug and play.

Well I plugged and prayed with the Technics harness and it worked a treat. I've got a lot more bass coming from the under seat subs now. Still missing low end but a great improvement.

Can you snap pictures of the rear setup? I'm considering this myself and can't find a proper thread that shows whay goes where.

Cheers

Cheers. The wiring (what goes where) is the bit that I'm struggling with. Otherwise I'd have done this already. Thanks for sharing
