TurtleWax ICE products
I have been looking into getting more hands on cleaning my cars then just hand washing it( take my cars to a detailer to do the rest). I have heard some good things about Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish(link). I am wondering how are the other Ice products( mainly the car wash, Spray Detailer kit, and Wheel and Tire cleaner). Are they any good or do you guys recommend something else?
I am currently using ArmorAll carwash. |

Those products are probably ok, but not the best. Better than nothing for sure but more marketing that substance.
Spend a little more and go to detailers domain. I like Einzett products and Adams quick detail spray. Or ask those guys for some recommendations they are cool and will put you in the right direction. Use BMW in the coupon code for 10% off. |

OTC Products typically are junk and there are some exceptions. Quick Detailer Spray's are ok to buy. Interior vinyl cleaners and leather cleaners can be hit or miss. Most of your polishes and waxes are not that great for the money you spend.
Check out Detailed Image - great products, great prices and fantastic service. http://www.detailedimage.com/

If you can only buy locally, I trust the mother's brand based on several tests I've seen performed. If you can wait for the mail to bring the goods there are tons of great options out there.

As mentioned above, better than nothing but you can do a lot better. Klasse and zaino are two very popular and excellent choices. Do some research on this forum, there's a wide variety of products covered in fairly deep detail.

Check out some of the guides on autogeek.net and Atopia.org. You will be amazed at how much better the products are. Almost anything from a good detailing store/site will be better than otc

OTC - get mothers
detailedimage.com - get some menzerna 203 for a good middle polish taht finishes off better than most. Get a paintwork cleaner like CG ezcream glaze and then a sealant like BFWD if you are still taking it to a detailer for the full detailing, then I would suggest you just get a paintwork cleanser and a wax and do that and leave the polishing to the detailer you use. |

The only place I use ICE is the spray detailer wax on my clear bra since it has no dyes. Other than that, ICE is probably the worst wax I have ever used.

I haven't used any of the ICE products on my car, but a friend of mine uses it on his car and while it looks decent after he has applied it, it doesn't last, it's usually completely gone after one rain or carwash.
