2nd detail and 1st Black, wife 2007 RAV4 v6
Just bought a low Km RAV4.
My wife and I enjoy diving ... but not with the 335i. I think the previous owner used to wash it with a sanding block... 10 hours later, interior, exterior (4 steps) and windows done: (3 pictures before and 4 after ...)

Looks great!
I'm assuming you used a polisher for the scratches? Orbital? |

Thanks!
Porter Cable 7424xp random orbiter with an assortment of Menzerna product... Power Gloss, Power Finish, Final Polish and Power Lock Polimer Sealant. But, if I look at the hood, still needs work. I think that the new Toyota paint is harder or something. I will need more than a Orange pad with Power Gloss...

Looks great. We tried doing my roomates 03 X5 and it just doenst look right, hard ass paint. I need stronger pads then 105/Orange I think. I tried 105/Cyan on a few spots and still didnt look right. If it came out as well as yours, Id be super happy. You did great!!

Looks outstanding - much better than any "pre-owned" car you'll find around. Very liquidy.
Some deeper defects will require multiple passes or multiple sessions of polishing to correct. - so don't worry too much. The nice thing is you have all you'll need to work on it more in the future. If anything, leave her for now and next Spring have another go at it so she'll be good once the nicer weather comes back around. Great work again and thanks for sharing |
