BTW, all this is nicely documented in the book of secrets.

okay I found out it's my oil being at it's minimum level...since this is my first time bringing my car in for service since I just got this car a few months ago, would it be better for me to make an appointment? or just bring it on in? Since the next service date displays as May 2010, will there be any problems bringing my car in early for an oil change?

no problem taking it in early . most dealerships will take care of it without any fuss.

I had 2 control check messages after my coilover install, one was indicating that the car was on a hoist and the other was the clock, I reset and triangle was there until I set my clock and all is good, no more messages or ! triangle.

I could tell you to read the owner's manual, or just guess what the light means (like every other douche on these boards does), but I will keep this post informative - because that is what these boards are for.

According to the owner's manual, the RED EXCLAMATION POINT INSIDE OF A RED TRIANGLE means that the car is past due for service. If you haven't completed service, you can take it in and they will turn it off for you when they service the car. If you do your own service, do the following to change the date:
1. Put the car in ACC mode (push start/stop twice)
2. Scroll through the BC options in the dash by using the rolling switch on the turn signal stalk.
3. Scroll through until you see SERVICE INFO by rolling up on the rolling switch
4. Push the BC button (also on the stalk). You should see a date that is past the current date.
5. Reset the date to whatever date you want (when ever you want to be reminded for service) by pushing and holding the BC button in until a square shows up around the month in the date. Use the rolling switch to change the month and then push the BC button to access the year. Roll through the years with the rolling switch and then hit the BC button to save.
6. Done

On my 09' I get the orange triangle with exclamation point even when the gas is low - instead of just popping up a symbol of a gas gauge, it makes you guess what is wrong

What ever happened to the good ole' days?

It does. It just goes away until you reach like 30 miles left, then it shows the gas pump symbol constantly where it normally shows the time and outside temp.

Little triangle with exclamation point just means there's a check control message. It can be anything.

Guess I never let the gas get low enough to see the pump symbol...
