Sirius/XM Coding

Hi folks...new to this board..I haven't had a BMW in awhile, but I started in the 70's with two 2002's, moved to a Grey Market 323i and then moved to a 318is... I have a 2011 328i E90..I have a frustrating question as many have I see. I'm trying to find out if there is a DIY way to Code the CIC to recognize the Sirius/XM option in the head. Here's the main question....I have an FRC code that was generated for a 2020 NAV upgrade AND I have the USB coding cable that I needed for a Key FOB coding by Bimmer-tech. Do I need a DIFFERENT FRC code and what software would I need if the code and cable are usable??
Thanks...just trying to avoid the (at best) $250.00-$500 cost of having it done...I'm using my phone now for Sirius/XM...which is fine. It would be just a bit more convenient if it was in the Radio head...Thank all

Map FRC are only for maps. Google "cic patcher" for ways to make other FRCs.
