M3 Front Sway Installed

I didn't realize until recently that the M3 from sway was that different than the 3 series. I just saw that it was 26.5mm in diameter and it was the same as the 3 series, but the 3 series tapers in the middle where the M3 bar doesn't.

Not only is the front sway different but the bushings are totally different. They consist of much harder rubber and the brackets are even completely different. It was a little harder than I expected because it took a good amount of force to get the lower bushing into the bracket. I actually had to use a rubber mallet to get the lower bushing to clip in.
I posted pictures of the bushings and brackets in another thread, but I'll post it here as well.

I finished installing it a couple hours ago and went for a quick drive. It does feel a little tighter but I'm sure I'll get a better feeling during the next couple days.

Thanks a bunch to Harold from HP Autowerks for meeting up with me again. He always goes out of his way to meet me whenever he's in the neighborhood.

Nice! My M3 front and rears go on tomorrow. Also, the tension rods will be going on as well

It should feel like a new car

I just got it back yesterday after some warranty work. I was so glad to have it back

hmmm, i wonder if you can use those m3 brackets and/or bushings on e92/3 sway bars?

but then again, the m3 rear sway is 20mm while the e93 is 15mm so i guess it wont fit...

when you start to examine all the little bits and pieces that make the m3 the m3 - its obvious why it costs significantly more than the 335

You can if you want, but why not just get the better bar?

i would have gone with the M3 front and rear sway bar but the new performance suspension comes with the newer front sway already.

so im not sure if i want to combine that front sway with the M3 20mm rear or the e93 15mm rear sway.
