Anyone knows if the BMW Performance Tuning kit is compatible with other "cooling" mods like a Forge Intercooler? and anyone knows for sure if there is a remap/ ecu piggyback which is fully compatible with the BMWPTK?

I have installed GIAC Stage 2 after the PPK and have no problems. JB4 and Procede all work now with the PPK. The intercooler has nothing to do with the PPK, it works with no problems (I have a big Wagner intercooler installed).

cheers for the reply....

I wasn't too sure what was actually included in the BMW PPK...i.e wether it included an intercooler or not....

Do you guys know if the BMW Performance remap/ tune can be "messed" with to increase the bhp? or is it set from factory and the dealership wouldn't be able to change the original settings....

No offense but you have 2800 posts on this forum...I would have understood this question if you were new here.

This doesn't have anything to do with the number of posts...

No offense taken, but you could at least reply to my question if you are going to be cheeky...

Dealer Price Quote

I was just quoted $3000 for the Power Performance Package on my 08 335. Told this was on special. Still seems like a lot for only 20HP gain. How does this price sound to others out there that have been quoted?

$3k installed is high if you do not need a new DME.

Tischer sells kit for $1675, figure 4 hours labor.

If you can get kit & install for $2.1k then I think it is a reasonable option, especially for the higher torque steptronic version.

I am almost certain that this price includes the BMW Performance Exhaust besides the BMW Performance Power Kit. At Tischer, the Power Kit costs $1675 and the Exhaust costs $1335 for the sedan and $1299 for the coupe. Do your math with a reasonable install price...I would say the price is right if it includes install.

If the price is only for the Power Kit, it's a ripoff. But I read that the "Performance Package" included both the Power Kit and Exhaust.

Dealer I got it installed at used 5 hours labor, the 4 in the ASAP instructions say not including coding/programming time. I did end up getting the kit from www.getbmwparts.com. The //accessories.bmwusa.com website lists part numbers for the kit and the air duct. The air duct ended up being incorrect but the guys at Tischer corrected the part number for me. (It ended up a little cheaper including the DME when I used the part numbers from the bmwusa site. See the tiny print at the bottom for the part number that includes the DME.)

Be warned that if your car doesn't have the sport package your car will be listed as "Special defect code title" on ISTA, or at least mine was after I got it installed.

One dealer quoted me $4000 for the Power Kit, so it is best if you shop around, (at least here in the USA.)

My did from the factory and was part of the package. Might be different if added later in a retrofit.

I like it because of the extra cooling, especially for automatics as someone noted, in which the radiator is burdened with cooling the trans fluid. (I haven't used the car much so I can't really give you an honest review about extra power.)

It is a lot of money comparatively, but you get to keep your warranty without any concerns/dishonesty if you have the sports package, (840 high speed limiter,) option.
