WTB - OEM N54 Charge Pipe (or C-Clip only!)

Needs to come with C-Clip to TB and o-ring. Or if you want to sell the clip only, even better!!

The oring is the same as the oil filter oring. Can get one cheap from the dealer.

I don't understand why ER doesn't just manufacture a clip that would cost them 50 cents and include it in the kit.

You could always get some thick gauge wire at a hardware store that fits the slot of the CP and TB, then bend it in to the shape of a C.

That's what im doing today since my CP cracked a few days ago and I cant find the original C clip anywhere.

Just finished it actually. Test fit it, and it fits snugly in-between the slot of the CP and TB. No slack at all.

I used round 1/8" steel. A 3' piece at my local hardware store was $1.99.

I cut off about an 8-9" piece and just started bending and forming it so it would shape in to where the slot of the TB would be when its mounted.

After I shaped it, I heated it with a torch and quenched it in water so it will keep its form. I did 5 cycles of this. After the quenching process I pulled on the ends and it returns nicely to the right shape.

LOL. I don't think the demand would cover the time invested to be honest. Took about an hour to make it fit perfectly. If you need me to make you one, shoot me a PM and we can work out the details.

Thanks... These are in such demand, I am inspired by your creation and will take it a bit further.

With my digital caliper, I measure 4mm in the grove with very minimal play. I think 4mm square would probably be better under high load. It's possible the round could pop off with enough pressure because it could push itself off due to the shape.

Minimum order is 5 meters of 4mm, so I am going to get some. Let me know if you are interested in a 9 inch piece.

I would like to do a DIY and sell them here if I could get an original to match.

I didn't even think about using the square style steel. They had it there in the 1/8" size also but didn't even think about it because the stock C clip is round also.

I may swing by the hardware store again tomorrow to pick up a piece of the square stuff.
