Louder Exhaust

My buddy has an 08 335i M Sport Coupe with the same mods as I do, his exhaust is noticeably louder than mine. Do the M Sports have a different factory exhaust ?

Probably has the golf tee mod.

No it's because he has a coupe. The e90 exhaust has a resonator and secondary cats whereas the coupe exhaust has an x pipe instead of the resonator along with secondary cats

kinda side topic, but how compatible are the coupe xpipe/midpipes to the e90 system? I'd love to ditch my resonator for the xpipe as a cheap option while I'm still paying the car off.

M-sports have better exhaust and everything right off the bat....

Msport (at least in the US) is all cosmetic. Just bumpers and trim pieces.
