exhaustgas recirculation value reading in INPA

So I was messing around in INPA checking out the injectors and errors stored. Everything checked out fine until I see that status of my EGR.

I was looking around and seems like n54's do not have egr values, seems to be more exclusive to diesal engines

Is this something I should worry about? How do I go about fixing this? Nobody really answered me in the coding section

Almost all cars have EGR valves. The N54 still has EGR, it's just accomplished by adjusting cam timing instead of a valve.

Hm I see it seems like the car might not be adapting correctly to the valves then, you think I should try resetting all the adaptions before I go about puling out the EGR. Where the hell is it located anyway?

There is no "EGR" item. The VANOS solenoids adjust the cam timing to create reversion in the cylinder to recirculate the exhaust gases in order to burn them again. If you're not experiencing any driveability problems I don't see any reason to worry about it.

Oh I see, yeah I do not have any problems with the car. I keep an eye on it thanks for the quick response.

Correct, there is no EGR valve on N54.

Do not forget that MSD80/81 ECU is used for managing other engines as well.
