Is there anyway that I can get traffic retrofitted for 06 models that do not have support for RTTI? From searching, I have found that the traffic data is broadcast through an FM frequency, but cannot be picked up by our existing FM tuners so a separate tuner is required.

I called a few dealers and they all say that its not possible, but I was wondering if anyone here has been able to successfully do it.

These are the items that I think are required to get the traffic update from my searching:
1) Tuner capable of receiving traffic data
2) New software update for Navi
3) New DVD DB

If it is just these three, why wouldn't it be possible? Thanks in advance.

I cant tell you its not possible. I can, however, tell you the following:

1. No one has reported it being done on this forum
2. Most of those who have it (myself included) don't think its all that great...

Thanks for the info. I think no one has done it probably due to its steep price to replace all the hardware/software. Price is not really an important issue for me since I am getting reimbursed. I just would like to know whether or not it is possible.
