Funny how this just happen to my unused fob this Saturday. Brand new fob with no scratches and the stupid emblem fell off. Guess I will request a new fob from the dealer when I come in for my 1st service.

imho, i wouldn't throw away a perfectly good keyfob (whether dealer pays or not) just bc the stupid emblem came off. why don't you do as someone advised and find a miniture one, or even just print it out on a color laser and get it laminated and then glue it. no one looks at the emblem on your key fob. good luck.

No one is talking about throwing away a fob (at least I sure hope not!).
I'd be perfectly happy to be able to get a replacement emblem to glue back on... |

same thing to me! but now the car's sold.
what i would like for the new car is find a CF emblem to stick instead of the oem ! that must be impossible to find! i'm gonna make it done by s.o i'll show you on my thread as soon as it is done.

Hi,
The BMW emblem fell off my key too. I called the dealer and they replaced the key fob with a new one free of charge as it is covered under warranty. Ask your dealer ...

so what if you are out of warranty? Mine didn't come off, just scratched off so the emblem is still there but there is no "bmw" to it. The key really looks like shit without the logo.

wtf lux.sh, you revived this from 2008...why?
this also happened to me, dealer hooked me up with a new keyfob. sent it to my house and you have to program it to your car. takes like 3 minutes tops.

The dealer can now provide just the roundels for the fobs. I mentioned to them that one of my fobs was missing the emblem.. They went to the parts room and came back with a small bag that contained the emblem. BMW was probably taking a hit replacing entire fob just because the roundel fell off..
