BMW Performance Exhaust

First off, no pics or video. Weather today was less than stellar.

Initial Impression:

Best mod to date. The exhaust note is much more pronounced from the exterior. Under throttle in low RPM's just sounds fantastic. Inside the cabin, it is a bit more noticeable, but not intrusive by any means. I find myself trying to keep it under 4k revs now because the sound under throttle in that range is just great!!! I have not gone much above that.

The BEST part is driving with the windows down. I did not have much of a chance to do that today, but when I did, I could not believe it.

More to come in terms of pics and possibly video (If I can do it right)

For those contemplating this mod, it is an absolute must...

Congrats again! Same here, I like to roll my windows down specially on slow speeds to hear the beautiful exhaust sound. Can't wait for the warm weather to arrive.

Can any of you with this exhaust take a video where the car is driving away from the camera and towards it? Otherwise, the reviews of this exhuast seem very pleasing.

My only complaint (and even then, I am nit picking) is that it has a sound I would call burble when engaged in a gear and off the throttle.

Maybe it is just because its new. This burble does sound rather sporty.

Anyone else with the exhaust know what sound I'm talking about?

I happened to shot a video like that last night but in slow speed (around 20mph). The video shows the car starting up, pulling out from the driveway, and passing by the camera. I wanted to capture the sound of it when driven normally. I plan on uploading it tonight.

I also plan on shooting highway vids today (eg ramp entry, cruise and lane changes). I'll be using the Canon HV30 and rhode external mic.

Are you talking about the sputtering sound? I love that sound! It happens when you decelerate. That same video I'm talking about above captured that sound.

Yes. During deceleration. What causes that sound?

Don't know. Hopefully somebody can shed some light on this.

When I first heard it I was a bit concerned so I googled it and found varied ideas (from normal, to misfire, to leaks, etc) and this happens to other exhausts as well. My exhaust was checked for leaks after the install so I am not so concerned. Maybe the exhaust is just letting off on deceleration? I'd be more concerned though if the same sputtering happens on acceleration.
