I am trying to decide between KW V1s, Koni/Eibach Pro, and Dinan Stage 1 or 2 for my 08 335xi coupe. I will be driving on crappy New Jersey roads, so I don't want it too jarring over rough roads. Which set up would be best balance of improved handling, comfort, and less wheel gap?

i am running eibach pro kit on my 335xi sedan. rear tires tucked barely and look great, still have a 1 inch gap in front, and it was 1.5 inch gap riding on bump stops. I trimmed the bump stop 3/4 inch and now it sits about 1 inch gap. I also have about 1/2 travel before hitting the bump stop. Rears I hit the stops on light bumps. Going to trim about another 1/4 off of those.
I am getting the SP lowering perches, and "i" model top hats. That will get the car to about perfect stance. At that point I will have very little suspension travel left. So I am ordering custom made Koni Yellows. They will be modified 1 inch on the struts to allow me to have 1 inch more suspension travel. Going to be awesome I hope! EDIT: I found V1's for a great price, but I just keep reading how the eibach and koni ride better.

I have the v1. Live in ohio and need the adjustability for winter (tough i have yet to adjust lol) They are a great kit. The others might ride better. I cant imagine what "better" is, because those kwv1's sure kick major ass!! Especially compared to stock. So if you have stock, do anything! but if your decision is eibach/koni or kwv1, either (or both) will rock your world!

The rears are about as low as they can go, and it is just tucked enough that you cant see the very top of the tire. Let me see if i can find a picture, im at work atm.

I have TCKline racing custom modifying Koni yellow struts for me! I get to choose if I want a 1 inch, 3/4, 5/8, or 1/2 drop on the strut. I already have eibach pro kit on the car. The strut mod lowers the perch and the bump stop position so i lose NO suspension thus the perfect and only strut fix for the XI!
What do you guys think? What drop should I select. The pro kit looks good on the "i" model, but this extra drop is what corrects the rake from the xi mostly. Pics of my car below to help decide.

I ordered the Bilstein Sport setup for my car from Bavauto. Best prices, but found out the front struts are on back order til the end of the month. Found the Eibach pro kit springs on ebay for the lowest price.

Bump. So it seend the general consensus here fRom a comfortability standpoint, is go with eibach/koni, am I wrong on that? What Linus are they exactly, I can't see an actual model in here anywhere, unless I'm blind lol

Not looking to (completely) hijack the thread...but:
2011 335 xdrive - daily driver - occasional track - in need of less roll and better control, thoughts on: Ordered H&R sport springs and considering either (a) Koni Yellows; or (b) Koni FSD? |

Hi guys I just bought a few months ago a 2011 335 xdrive- love the car, but also have noticed the damn floatyness of the suspension, even if it otherwise feels good- I often wonder how much of the bmw handling feeling im missing out by getting the damn xdrive...
Would eibach springs and bilstein be best route? I had eibach and koni yellows on my LS1 TA, thought it was pretty firm, but I liked it, wondered how it felt on the e90

Are the rear Koni Yellows externally adjustable on the XI, from the top strut tower like on my Integra, or do we have to get the rear Dinan Koni Sports to adjust them without removing them?
Anyone know if the valving is different on the Dinan Koni Yellows? Harry

Mine are adjustable on the top strut tower. I also had mine cut down 1" to reduce front rake. I don't know anything about Dinan Koni's, but I would think they have the same core function.
