Chipped Windscreen

Today I found a small chip in my windscreen, I'm just wondering if I should buy a filler kit or leave it. When I rub my finger across the chip, you can't feel it what so ever, but put pressure on the glass, and the spider legs start to spread. Will the filler even work if you can't feel the chip?

Thanks.

It's a small chip, but you have multiple fracture lines. A repair will not be able to fix that. One a fracture line has occurred it will only get bigger. I would wait and see how bad the fracture gets.

Edit: Glassman is well respected in the forum for glass replacement.

+1 have used him to repair several chips... one was particularly bad and had many legs... but it has been fine for 3 years now. Highly recommend him.

Decided I'm going to leave it and see how it pans out, i have free windscreen cover with my insurance, so if it doesn't start to grow, I'll get it repaired.

The Rain-X chip repair kit done right could address this. The best way to repair it is keep as much UV light off it while you repair it. So indoors is best if you have a garage.

Will the kit even work if I can't feel the chip what so ever with my finger?
