Replacing HID bulbs???

Hi guys, I am new to the forum, is it simple to replace the HID bulbs on my E90? I just ordered a pair of 6000K. Is it as simple as popping the hood and getting behind the lights and replacing them. This is what I did on my GS and took like 5mins. Not really familiar with BMW. I found a few links to replace my Angel Eye bulbs, those seem pretty easy. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

not sure on E90 but on the E92 you have to remove the fender lining to gain access so no it's not a simple 2-3 min DIY

So you would turn the wheels in and remove the fender lining, then you can reach up to replace the bulbs?

You can but it will be 10x easier to unmount your wheel, more space to work in.

Will removing the HID allow access to the head light. I have a dead spider trapped in my headlights for months, god knows how it got there. Its been buggin me looking at it. I want to try and vacuum it out.

I have a pair of 8000k D1S bulbs and I was actually just going to remove the front bumper and headlight and put them in that way. I've tried the "fender lining peelback" method before when I was installing my LED turn signals, and had zero luck.
