Lightbulb 2011 740i getting same power as 335i

The 2011 BMW 740i and 740Li feature BMW’s internationally acclaimed twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine with up-rated output of 315 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 330 lb-ft of torque from 1600-4500 rpm. All-aluminum construction, High Precision direct fuel injection, Double-VANOS variable camshaft technology, and Brake Energy Regeneration are a few of the technologies used under the BMW EfficientDynamics philosophy to place the 740i and 740Li among the most powerful six-cylinder luxury sedans in the world. Delivering power to the rear wheels is BMW’s 6-speed automatic transmission, well-known for fast, smooth gearshifts and an ability to intelligently adapt to the driver’s style.

Yep... I've known about this for a year Although I was guessing that they'd call it the 735i and 735iL.

Hmm...they lowered the power from the N54's 320hp to N55's 315hp...this tells a lot about the new N55. They wouldn't lower the power if they had the means, its a bad marketing move.

So now you know how much power the next BMW Performance Power Kit for N55 will have...315hp The last 740i was also indicative of how much power the N54 Power Kit had.

What? 740i has the N54 engine, not N55.

Strange, didn't the N54 version of 740i have 320hp (and 326 in Europe) ? Why 315 now ?

What the F does 'up-rated' mean? Is that one of those gay new-age terms like "right-sized"? Freakin say what you mean and stop trying to be a post-modern-sophisto-douche.
