Repair options

So. I was driving down the highway around 70 and two raccoon's walked across the road. I braked, but still sit them around 55. Now this is the damage.

Any suggestions on how I am supposed to fix it?

Damn, that's a lot of money. Well I'll take it to my local body shop. If it's that much... I'll sell my body for money .

Aside from the fact that your math makes no sense, you don't know much about how insurance works.

If his deductible is $500 then he pays $500.

Wildlife/domestic animal claims fall under the comprehensive portion of insurance. Claims under the comp portion do not affect your premiums.

The fact that I have a $1000 deductible and a $1600 premium makes me not want to contact those people. With home owner, and good driver, my premium is still high. What a 16 year old boy can do to your policy...

I've had 3 deer incidents in the last 10 years and my rates have not gone up.

In addition, everyone should re-evaluate their comprehensive deductible. For me, the difference between a $1k deductible and a $100 deductible is about $52 a year for two cars - easily recouped on a windshield.

The expensive low deductible is the collision portion, where a high deductible makes sense.

Comp claims gernerally do not affect your rates, deductible still applies. I have made a comp claim or two before no affect to rates but the 16yo yes that will jack your rates. I pay overt iwce as much on my E46 as the E90 same coverage levels etc because my 19yo son drives the E46. If it's 1000 deductible then it's no question just fix on your own for 800.

A comprehensive claim will not affect your current rate but if you try switching insurance company, your rate will be higher. The claim stays on your record for 5 years old.
