Clear bra after painting....

I am planning to order a new Mtech front bumper. After it's painted and cured, how long should I wait until having the clear bra installed?

I remember a friend of mine who bought a car from a private party individual and had a clear bra installed on his car soon after. His front bumper got hit by something on the freeway and had to replace the clear bra. Well, when the installer removed his existing clear bra, the paint started to PEEL OFF too! The previous owner didn't mention anything about having the bumper repainted, but I am assuming that was what happened. I am concerned about putting on my clear bra too soon. Please advise. Thanks.

I would ask your body shop and the people doing the clear bra. I know 3M films guarantee againts paint pull-up for a couple years.

in your friends case, it sounds like the repainting wasnt done properly.

A re-spray must fully cross-link before you apply a clear bra, it usually takes 60-90 days, but as allured to ask the body shop they know the tech specification of the paint they applied
