Anybody try Meguair's "ultimate quick detailer"?
I saw this stuff for the first time last night while at autozone. I typically use either quick detailer or wet wipe and shine and like them both. This stuff was 10 dollars a bottle, which is about double what the other products were. I was skeptical to try it out since I have had such good results with the others, just wanted to see if anybody has used this and has any feedback. Seems like a new marketing scheme to me, but wouldn't mind spending the extra $$ if it's actually superior.

ADHD is a mobile detailer and he recently recommend me about this stuff. He seemed to really like it. It seems to have some silicone (or wax). I haven't gotten around to asking Meguiar's if this will interfere with sealant bonding. I don't think it will unless the QD was fairly new.

Funny, I searched Autopia and found our fellow member ADHD in this thread.

From what I've researched and heard back from some professional detailers is that the beading is incredible the first couple of days and the look is pretty good but the durability is very short lived, literally only a few days, esp if there is rain.

Are there any QD sprays that have durability? It is my understanding that it is a QD spray and not a spray on wax, hence the durability.

Used it and put on 3 coats last week.....not sure how exactly i should use this
Beads water like shit though. I also notice dust don't stick on my car as much as before....after a week in the garage, my car is dusty as hell, took it out for a spin and its all clean again. I am thinking of waxing on top of it....not sure if that's ok...... I think this will be my favorite, since I live in an apt and there's no access to water and power outlet for me to detail in the garage. |

Mequiars has a confusing array of products and IMHO they sell the same stuff with different packaging.

that's exactly what I'm thinking here as well. I know the regular QD does a pretty decent job, I just can't justify spending the extra money, but I might have to give it a whirl just for the heck of it. |

Final Inspection - Body shop safe, not too much gloss, no polymers. Last Effect - Follow-up to Final Inspection. A bit stronger. Quick Detail - Has waxes/polymers, has cleansing properties. etc. etc.

I have used it a number of times. Great between washings and waxing. After washing couple of days and no pouring rain, and don't want to spend the time to wash or wax again, use the detailer. Great for spiffyup. Remove gas stains when filling up, bug splats, etc. It is just a quick fix.

Drove it in RAIN to the concours... looked like this 20 mins after I got there w/ Meguires Quick Wax.
The picture doesn't really do it justice though...
