Little late, but still want to add my 2 cents on mileage. Six months into this car.
I realize my '08 was RWD and this is an AWD, but my mileage is significantly lower with this car. I don't even have a tune in this car yet, so it's not likely to get better.

I know where you are well. Your roads are way better than our crap roads here. I have Blizzarks on my OEM ZSP 18s and no problem even when I drive to NJ\NY a lot. Incase you don't know their roads are a lot worse still. I have style 313 summers for when it warms up. I vote for 18s.

17s will give you more rubber so far the 18s have been good without any issues. |

As for tires, based on the information I am getting from this forum I will go with regular winter tire instead, and no Run Flat Tire right? |

The dealer promised me to order a new one from Germany and replace the piano black for me when it comes in.

Anyone considering the JB4 and BMS downpipe on their N55 rides?
For 700 bucks or whatever it would come out to be, seems to be very alluring....

I have JB4 stage 2...makes a noticeable power difference. I wouldn't go with a downpipe...dealers are sticky with that.

I would get a polish and just polish them Out...OR...put CF Trim. I wish It was CF and not the piano black.

Not sure how well this works...try on an edge that isnt too visible first. May introduce more scratches by trying to polish it. I am thinking about a CF or matte wrap or maybe even leather wrap. Only issue with the leather wrap is that you want to try and match the car a bit...which is difficult. Same thing with the carbon wrap...haven't been able to find something that matches the carbon leather.

The carbon leather option (even in m3) isnt for the center console. So not possible to get it from BMW. The M3 is leather wrapped. You gotta source the material from somewhere and wrap it yourself. Mine is scratched a bit as well but I think I am going to leave it for now. I am pretty particular about things looking like they belong...if the cf wrap didnt match it would bug me more than the scratches i think.

I have about 750km on my car now. This morning I was driving to work on HWY404 and the Engine Service Light came on and stayed on. I checked the Manual, it says something like engine misfiring and advices bringing it in for service right away, it also mention that it could be the cap not tightened after I filled up the gas 3 days ago. I will check the cap after I finish work today.
Any idea what it might be? |
