Why? So Nissan can void your transmission warranty when you turn off stability control? I was reading a thread in the General Car forum about it. Some guy was doing too many "launches" with the stability control off, and his tranny took a dump. Turns out that turning off stability control except on rare occasion to get unstuck (like in mud or ice) voids your drivetrain warranty. Oh, and they want $20k to replace the tranny.....

Besides, the car is ugly as hell. Hard to be "ballin'" in an ugly-as-hell car. Chicks don't dig it either.

I guess your right, the only thing I'll be able to pick up with the GTR is high school boys

I change my vote, between the two (m6 and m3) I'd take hte m3... I don't think the m6 is my thing... if I were to get a car that big, it'll have to be an Aston

Now THAT is what I'm talking about!

I'd get an R8 over a 911 too. They even have a color similar to sparkling graphite. The $20k option charge for the paddle tranny is crazy though...

I'd be down with paddle shifters! ftw! , I really REALLY like the v12 TDI version... doesn't sacrifice performance and still has the look! even meaner!

i wouldnt get any of the above.

M3 is nice, but too much money for not enough performance.

M6 is in p-car territory in price. I would much rather have a Porsche.

GTR has hot performance, but man is it ugly. Don't trust Nissan either.

R8 is most flawed design car ever. It has a great frontal and rear view, but man the profile is freaking ugly. And don't get me started on those ugly side panels!

For 70-100k look no farther than a Porsche 911. Yes there are faster cars, but man are they sexy. A slightly used 997 turbo would be my choice. You have so much potential there. 800whp car anyone?

Sorry, check your facts. Its stated in the manual that you may turn off aids to get your vehicle unstuck.

The warranty is VOID when Nissan reviews your blackbox and determines that abuse has occured.

BMW does this as well, as does Mitsubishi.

So to sum it up, turning off traction control itself does not void the warranty but when you abuse the car.

As for what to choose, I'd take the M6. I see more E9x M3s here then M5/M6s combined. Plus depreciation has already hit the M6 whereas the M3 has a long way to go.

Actually the M6 has far greater worse resale value than the M3 ever has. You can pick up two year old M6s for 60k

Which is why I would choose the M6. The OP asked either a brand new M3 or a 2006 M6.
