Pics and review of my new 335d
After the crashing the X5 I did have a look at other 4x4 another X5 ML350, RRS etc.. but I felt that I wanted something a bit different but it needed to be practical after just having a baby and us also have a dog. I looked at the A4,A6 Class estate and E Class estate and found them all wanting and I kept being drawn back to the 3 series which many of you know i had a 325d E90 before my X5.
So I've had the car since Friday afternoon all the can say is wow the 335d engine is absolutely brilliant motorway slip roads and overtaking is pretty comical now the car is effortless in every gear anywhere in the rev range and it never feels like its running out of puff, god only knows what it would be like mapped The car accelerates into licence goodbye time with ease and it pulls even harder the further the needle goes round the speedo, the car would really be at home on the German autobahns As a touring car goes i think the e91 M-sport is very good looking car obviously its no coupe but for an 'estate' I rather like it especially oyster/dakota leather and piano black trim. Having the steering wheel paddles back is a revelation its the one thing I really missed on the X5 it baffles me why it never had them or it even be an option The panoramic sunroof is great espcially when the sun is out i think this option could turn into a must have The boot is not massive but its a good size, i can fit our dog and pushchair in easily with plenty of room for the dog to lie down it would be nice if it had the underfloor storage but I prefer the twin exhaust it was great going to the fuel station and a full tank costing £80 instead of £117 for the X5 on the drive back from Wimslow on friday afternoon which was mainly motorway and quite busy I got 40.1 mpg out of it which was 17mpg better than the X5. The new I-drive is major step up from the last one, the layout is much better and makes alot more sense now. Overall I'm over the moon with it and looking forward to many miles in it! A reminder of the spec:- Black Sapphire Oyster/black dakota leather Elec front seats + memory Ext mirrors - folding, auto dimming Media pack prof Panoramic glass sunroof Park distance front and rear Piano black inlay trim Voice control Seat heating front Sun protection glass Telephone USB interface USB audio interface Extended Storage Extended luggage pics below with my shite Blackberry, once I've cleaned her properly I will take some decent ones, thanks for reading my waffle |

Nice contrast between the interior and exterior, it's about time you threw the paper car mat away.
Black grilles as standard? Looks like a perfect all round car. |

Lovely car and is one of the best family-orientated cars on the market. Wish you many happy years of motoring!

Lovely lovely car
Really nice interior, take care of the piano black, it looks great but mine has got some scratches now. Nice contrast on the seats too. In a way would have liked a touring too. Would be great to have the extra space for the kids but i'm managing ok. Enjoy it! Will keep any eye out for it. |

The main reason I've had the touring is the dog otherwise I would have had the new 535d sport saloon but I must admit I do really like the look of the e91 especially with those twin pipes out back |

I have more or less the same spec, albeit in an older package and it's just a great all round package for the real world.
A remap will definitely put a smile on your face! |

My car is also similar spec but pre-LCI and I love it to bits. It has to be the best all round family car you can buy?

That looks fantastic, very similar colour combo to my first E91. The light interior contrasts well with the black exterior.
The 335d Tourer is a proper wolf in sheepskin clothing, mine has shown up a few "performance" cars in the short time I've had this one, the first one did exactly the same. Once it's mapped it will be even better |
