So it seems these do fit on 18" according to this thread So much different information, I guess the only way to find out is to buy them and go for it

They won't fit on an E9x due to the hubs being different so the rotors won't mate directly (according to the shops that have tried it).

The 370mm rotors aren't too big to fit under 18" wheels, it depends on the caliper clearance.

ahh interesting, the hubs being different sizes would be a bit of an issue. lol

so now im wondering, If the set could be bought (for just the calipers) and source larger rotors from somewhere else...hmm ideas ideas. or I could just stop being a cheap ass and buy a bbk meant for an e90

What's the problem you are facing with the stock brakes?

Unfortunately these don't fit, but there are a lot of options and depending on your specific need you can find something that will fit both for the car and for the usage of it.

stock brakes are just fine for street driving even at those power levels (our brakes are pretty decent from the factory they just look ugly) if you want some improvement, more aggressive pads + stainless steel lines would probably be enough. BBK's dont really offer more "stopping power" per say, they can just be driven harder/longer without boiling/fading.

So the F30 performance calipers would fit an e92 with 18" wheels only if you use the stock rotors ?

Don't think so.

I did my wish list spec on an F31 m sport from BMW website.

You can opt for the 370mm rotors and coloured calipers with stock oem 18" alloys

Yes, that is correct. The F30 calipers will work on the E90 using E90 rotors, but not without some minor issues(Not going into details here). The cost to make the is kit with custom pads just don't make sense and that is why our kit never made it to the market.

Racing Brake has an alternative solution...You can either use the OE style rotor or their two-piece high performance rotor.

Harold,

What is your opinion on the Racing Brake kit? Could you please elaborate more on it's effect on the brake bias? I have big reservations about upgrading just the front rotors, calipers and pads and leaving the rear unchanged.

Thanks in advance.

Vasil

RB did their hw and sized the front pistons correctly so I don't see any issues with brake bias. The same design philosophy went into Stoptech and other BBK's so you will often see a front only upgrade is needed(Heat should be the top reason why you are upgrading your brakes. Some will disagree, but that is another discussion).

I see. RB however offers three different kits:

1. 348x30 front rotors and calipers
2. 360x30 front rotors and calipers
3. 380x32 front rotors and calipers

Surely, there must be other differences than just heat dissipation. Do you think the brake bias changes across the kits? ...or am I misunderstanding how brake bias works?

Can you please give out some details? Was the pad too big for stock e90 rotor?
Thanks!

I will shoot RB an email on the piston sizes they use for the 3 different kits.

You are right, the larger the rotor the more bias towards it, but manufacturers often use different piston sizes to compensate.

The F30 pads does not offer the proper sweep over the E90 rotor surface.

I saw this question asked but not answered. If you were able to source 370mm rotors that fit the hub... would you then be able to direct bolt on the f30 M performance calipers and pads?
