the vibration is only at 50-60mph. so at 40mph its smooth and at 70mph its smooth. anywhere from 50-60 the steering wheel vibrates. its not just under acceleration like i thought before even if im just cruising at 55mph it vibrates. i dont know if this narrows down what the issue can be. does anyone have any idea what could cause a vibration in the steering wheel at only 50-60mph? thanks

i have the same problem and i'm going to get my car serviced this thursday.
but from what i've explained to my service guy, he said it's probably either:
- wheel alignment
- low tire thread on one side/tire
- damaged rims
if not, then i'll let you know.
but i've been searching and it seems one of the above.

wheel balance (weights may have fallen off of one wheel)
check your tire pressure
Hit any pot holes lately?...(bent rim/alignment)

Bushings?...well, maybe...but I would check the simple stuff first.

This sounds a lot like a wheel baring issue, if its not the wheel alignment/wheel balance.
