I am still thinking about it. I like the product but am still concerned about the risks of splicing into the OBD and issues down the road.

Email already sent to securemycar.

Plus how does it work and what exactly are the particular benefits.
You're better off listing the cost now. Suppose you end up with a list of 10 then state the cost and people start pulling out thinking that it would have been cheaper?!

Asked Securemycar about price twice in last thread.
He is very good at promoting his viper system, and how good is it, however nothing on price yet.

I hope he reads it, and put a price tag for 10 potential buyers and information of what is included in this package.

There are details and costs (not for a group buy) in the other thread. I know I posted them.

It is a mobile fit (extra £35)

£585 all in

designed a package with a bit of a tweak which when installed immobilises the OBD port. The OBD port still stays connected and mounted in the same place allowing you and your BMW dealer to still continue using it. As we use a canbus module with the lastest BMW firmware installed, the new viper alarm system will also work with your comfort access and will arm and disarm when you run your finger on the door sensors. (if your BMW is equipped with comfort closure)

We can do the viper 5204 2-way pager alarm system with an extra immobiliser, all important obd port immobilisation, upgraded dual motion sensor with an external warn away. Alarm also includes an impact sensor, which activate if the car is hit in anyway. As we use a canbus module with BMW firmware installed the beuty of this system is you can still use your standard BMW key fob to arm and disarm the viper alarm system. When you lock the doors from e me remote, the viper alarm will also arm. We can also turn off the am and disarm beeps so make e install look completly factory. system fitted is £550 I've designed this system and tested it with a BMW computer and when the new alarm system is armed the obd port can not comunicate with the brain. when disarmed the obd port is open. The way BMW should have wired it.

We only charge £35 or mobile fitting. This covers the cost of fuel.

For even more security, You can also add extra sensors for extra security.

Glass break sensor which detects the high frequency sound of breaking glass £45

Tilt sensor good if you have expensive wheels. £65

Upgraded viper LCD remote with visual 2inch screen. £85

Viper flashing window logo £30

Remote engine start £160

Battery backup siren £100

Viper smartstart which is the tracking system which connects your smartphone to your viper alarm system. If your alarm goes off you can phone will mimic the sound of your siren. From the app you can also lick/unlock our car. Pop the boot. And locate the car at anytime. Smartstart is £400 with a £100 a yer subscription.

I believe he is out of the country at the moment as opposed to not wanting to put up details; i originally sent Anthony an email directing him to the first thread and he stated he was away until the beginning of September, if your patient im sure he will give you all a full update in the next couple of days when he returns.

All i can say his from my experience, his customer service was 100% so im sure this is just down to him being away and simply checking in on his mobile.

I'm a little surprised that it doesn't include a battery backed up siren as standard

So £910 without the remote start if you live North of Birmingham?

That's quite a lot...

I expressed an interest, but Antony is down (I think) in Bristol so is really no use to me in Yorkshire.

Although his system sounds good, (although a quite expensive extra and expense I could do without, thinking I had bought a secure car), wondered, surely, is there nothing else on the market that will do?

I bought a Disklock for visual deterence and an extra 2 minutes to crack it, thinking by then the sensors inside would sound the alarm.

I set the alarm tonight in the car whilst sat in it, and waved my arms about without triggering it.

Where are the sensors placed?

I know the alarm works as I have tripped it a few times by accident, but the inside seems useless.

I have seen on another forum somebody had purchased an extension lead for the OBC port, dismantled it, then moved it to somewhere else in the car.

Can't an auto electrician do a mod to the port cheaply?

Just get a cheapo proximity alarm, as soon as they go anywhere near an alarm or warning sounds, thief realises he can't get into blindspot and walks away, no?

Thanks shortie. Yes I am out of the country on my holidays, but I am trying to answer all emails as quickly as possible.

BMW security upgrade

Every day we hear of at least one attack on a customers BMW. The problem is now seriously out of control with around 5 cars a night, in each city being taken by key cloning. London, Birmingham and Essex are the worst hit areas. The latest craze is to brake into your car, hack into your cars main brain and clone a new key through the OBD port. They then make it look like a failed attempt or a petty theft by stealing something like your iPod or Tomtom. You then replace the window and locks making your car look new again. When the car is needed they will return but this time armed with the cloned key to your car. The car is then used for ram raids, drug runs and other criminal activity. All cars recovered are checked by BMW. But a third key has never shown up in the cars system. It's almost like they hack into the system and plant a ghost key hidden in your cars brain. One customer had this happen a few weeks ago. They smashed a window and stole his ipod. The car was then stolen 3 weeks later and used in a drug run. It was was found days later in a really bad way.*

Ive been working on BMWs now for over 15 years and I have specially designed a system which we have perfected over the past year. No other company in the UK offers this system as it has been designed, made and tested by us at SecureMyCar. We also order in specialist canbus modules from outside the UK which work on the BMW complex electrical system. This allows us to control all the cars electronics such as deadlocks, door pins etc digitally through the cars canbus network. I've also designed an OBD port immobiliser with a*bit of a tweak. This activates only when the viper alarm system is armed leaving the OBD port connected and mounted in the same place. As this system only piggy backs onto the cars can network, it doesn't void your cars BMW warranty. We have also fitted this systems at a number of BMW authorised dealers premisses around the country.*

We can supply the new Viper 5204 2-way 2000 foot paging alarm system with an extra immobiliser, all important specialy designed OBD port immobilisation, upgraded dual motion sensor with external warn away (Beeps to warn anyone away from the car) and an impact sensor, which activate if the car is hit in anyway. If you've ever set your factory BMW alarm off, you would have heard the poor factory fitted siren. Its quiet and sounds like one of those vehicle reversing sounds the bin men's lorries make. The Viper siren is a much louder 120db which features a fully adjustable 1-6 tone siren.*

As we use a canbus module with BMW firmware installed the beuty of this system is you can still use your standard BMW key fob to arm and disarm the viper alarm system. When you lock the doors from your BMW remote, the viper alarm will also arm. We can also turn off the arm and disarm beeps so make the install look completly factory.*

The package fully fitted is £550. *I've personally designed this system and tested it with BMWs computer. When our alarm system is armed the OBD port can not comunicate with the cars main brain. when disarmed the OBD port is open and free for programming. The way BMW should have wired it in the first place!

We can also come to you. We only charge £35 for mobile fitting. This covers the cost of fuel to get to you.

For even more security, You can also add Vipers extra sensors for extra security.

Glass break sensor which detects the high frequency sound of breaking glass - £45

Tilt sensor good if you have expensive alloy wheels - £65

Upgraded viper LCD remote with visual 2inch screen.*
2000 foot - £85
1 mile - £140

Viper flashing window logo - £30

Remote engine start (a spare BMW key is needed for this install) - £160

Battery backup siren - £100

Viper smartstart which is the tracking system which connects your smartphone to your viper alarm system. If your alarm goes off you smart phone will mimic the sound of your siren through the smartstart app. From this app you can also lock arm/unlock your car. Pop the boot. Remote start (if fitted to the car) And locate the car at anytime. With geo fences and gps speed detections the list of features for Smartstart go on and on. Smartstart is £400 fitted with a £100 a year subscription. You can download the app now from your app store. Just search for viper smartstart on iTunes, blackberry or android.

Below is a link to our website for more information on key cloning. There is also a videos of our demo M3 fitted with our full system and all the extras add on we offer.*

http://www.securemycar.co.uk/bmw-stolen.html

Group buy...
We can offer either 10% off the final bill a free upgrade to the next alarm system (worth £85 Which is the LCD screen pager remote) or free glass break sensor.
