Ultimate Airstrip Attack car?

1200hp (1000+whp dynojet verified)
2900lbs
Turbocharged and built 427

I drove it today on the street and I swear to God, i've never felt anything like it before. Made our single turbo N54s feel absolutely tame in comparison. A power to weight ratio of ~2.5:1 By comparison, a Veyron has a ~3.5:1. And a 650whp 335i has ~4.8:1. Ridiculous.

Maybe it will run at the upcoming event. And maybe I will be driving it

You can run however you want...but as I discussd above ^^ going from a dead stop is tough to coordinate. You may want to have a third person do an arm-drop Pink's style.

Awesome...see you there. What size turbo are you running? Is it different than Prem's? I know you have a 6MT and he has the 6AT...but just curious as there is a 100 HP difference in your estimated crank HP.

Also, where is CupertinoSteve?? Figured he'd be all over this.

I think Prem is still limited by the lower shift point of the AT. Shiv posted a dyno of a 58 AT and 62 MT and it was nearly the same until beyond 6700. Not sure if they have any secrets in store for the 6AT, though.

Haha maybe. I wonder how much of an advantage the 6AT has. Good thing we'll be racing from a roll or my tires would just spin.

Slammed the past few weeks, building infrastructure for a certain phone launch.

Yeah, I think i should be able to make it this time (unless something else is announced that week).

More displacement, V6 versus I6 long crank (rev limitation on the I6), and strong AWD. Our 3's don't have a chance. And NO CAGE?!?!

Doesn't that GT-R have something like $100K in mods, including $60K in the motor??

Looking at the sign up sheet there's quite a few stock'ish GT-R's (claiming ~ 550 crank HP) already signed up. I would think the single turbos would have no trouble with these cars. There are a couple RB turbo cars signed up including Terry Burger's 135 at around 550 HP. Unless the GT-R's are modded up and completely sandbagging their claimed HP, they should be good runs with the RB x35's.

Should be fun....I can't wait

On that note, my M3 seems to be a ringer. My first 0-60 pass on my VBox was yesterday in the heat with debris on the road and tires that aren't even broken in and my launch control isn't even enabled until 1,200 miles (currently have about 650) and I short shifted at 8,000 RPM in first...and I hit 4.2 seconds. With practice and better conditions I should be in the 3.7 - 3.9 sec range stock. Even with the blower launching is simple because there is very little torque increase until about 4,500 RPM. Should be good for mid to low 3 sec 0-60 launches.

A better start for us would be in 2nd gear at like 30 mph. I would be down 200 WTQ at that point...and so you would instantly pull 2-3 cars and then it would be a game of catch up...and how long does it take a 600 WHP car to catch a 450 WHP car with the lead?
Hey Longboarder I have the video with you vs. Jeef from the dig....I was the one in his car recording it when you guys ran...Send me a PM with your address if your interested and want me to mail you a copy of it...

Hey what's up? Any big plans for your car?

Thanks but I'd rather not even see that vid. I had a horrible launch and my meth flow was intermittent on that run...in my log it looked like this > ~~~~~~

LOL!!! I didnt know your meth flow was that bad during the run....I guess that explains the results...Especially when you did much better vs xtypers C63 which is way faster than Jeef's car...made no sense that Jeef stayed close...

As for me no big plans as of now...Just enjoying the car in its current form...Only thing im trying is to get a custom Cobb map made to safely run E85 (Dont like any of the autotuning logic from JB4 for E85...it sucks for consistency and realiability)..Hopefully in the next 6 months-year though Ill go for a nice upgraded turbo! Time to start saving

BTW congrats on the blown M3!! Would love to go for a ride once that baby is broken in....I did a few local runs with a guy who has the same kit VT2-600 and got raped (Obviously!! Haha) He went to the EAS dyno shootout too so you might have met him there not sure...

FBO meth/E85 N54s should have no problem w stock GTRs. My neon lost to an Alpha 6 GTR by like 4-5 cars when it was just ahead of the FBO N54s last time.

Ok, think I decided on a tune for my 12 E63 for the event...

http://mbworld.org/forums/cls55-amg-...tune-only.html

Renntech tune only makes 626whp!!!

Looking forward to a run with Adam's blown M3. Should be a good match!
