^^Agreed.. The issue with backpressure, is you just need to tune the engine for it. Typically, you would need to adjust the degree of overlap on the cams to take advantage of the exhaust scavenging effect that a well-made header produces. In our case VANOS controls the amount of valve overlap, so a good tuner could easily make more power by adjusting cam timing via vanos. For example, on older hondas, we used to manually adjust the cam timing with adjustable cam gears. Just doing this could get 6-8whp with the stock cams on a small 1.8L motor. Tuning is key. The newer honda K series motors love free flowing exhausts when tuned. They are making 230-260whp with 2.5" to 3" exhausts.

I am going to redyno @ Gintani to see how much we can pull out of the engine. I have a muffler delete - but still have the Res and 2nd cats (crossing fingers on the Backpressure) lol

although if its an issue, I will throw my prototype muffler on as a remedy

lol i would love to get headers if i didn't have a warranty still. sadly i think i will be selling the car before my warranty ends but if i do keep it, headers will be the first on my todo list once that warranty goes byebye. Hopefully these upcoming dynos will make me want to do it even more haha
