That's why Craven is going to take the car to the dyno, so the gains can be measured with much more accuracy. I wish magazines would just throw away 0-60 times all together, it really is the worst way to measure acceleration. 1/4 mile times and trap speeds give you a much better idea of performance.
Very good, point. Magazines apply a correction factor and do several runs and even then, the data has a pretty good spread. Even cars with launch control will have issues putting consistent results all the time.

I really think its on par with the muffler delete, launching feels the same in that respect.

If I take T/C off and wind it up for a launch, I burn out down the street. Im sure it has to do with my bald tires lol

Once I get "the run" ill post up a new video.

DTC helps a little because it won't cut the throttle, but if your tires a completely shot, there's not much you can do. You just don't have the traction to move the car forward.

How much does one your wheels weigh? If you had the type 161 17" wheels they weigh close to 70lbs each with run-flats.

Those are the rears, the fronts are a lot less. Maybe 45lbs. The run-flats are really heavy. They really kill accel and braking performance.

Yeah I'd heard that, interesting to hear a number though.

I have the VB3 on the car now, 8.5 front 19x10 rear

gerneral tires up front - 24lbs
GT our back - 23lbs

Pulled from tirerack.

I dont know the weights on the VMRs, the front is around 30lbs and the rear is probably 35 or more..

so between 55-60lbs a corner.

lol this shit sucks balls like you gain a lil performance with little mods or whatever but you would kill it if you slap on 18's or 19's with fresh tires..but that is just from a ditch , from a roll there is absolutely no performance loss...so once again 0-60 times are so overrated
