A good plan?

Thinking of:

1. Getting rid of my 335 I use as daily car (does max 8k kms pa);
2. Buying a POS to drive the 15km a couple of time a week on country roads to dusty work site; and
3. Buying a weekender/occasional fun car (and perhaps a life time keeper) for the shed. Was thinking either a low k E92 M3 or final run Audi RS4.

Reasoning on those: E92 only V8 M3 and last na M3, RS4 limited run first of breed - although I think the next RS4 will likley be a V8 so perhaps will not be as unique in the long term.

Thoughts?

Assuming you are ditching the 335 as the DD to fund the purchase of a 'classic' fun car then sure why not but why not get a little more old school and buy a big healey six

and who ever that muppet was that thought mercs had class you need to have a look at this!

Or if you like a little (hic) work then how about

M3 is such a brilliant, versatile car, and I do think the 335 to M3 swap is an upgrade. If the planets align, I'd like to do similar in due course.

You could also look at 997 Carreras which are a similar price, and even cherished 993 C2S coupes occasionally appear and already seem to be holding value better than the 996/7s. They are wonderful things to drive, so characterful yet so fast. Or you could be really silly and get a Ferrari 360.

- Keep 335 and get POS? 335 is a great DD but its not 'special' enough feeling and sounding to use as a weekender only;
- Not really into older/historic cars;
- not into supercars (even cheap ones i.e. F360/Masa/Astons etc) which come with huge holding/running costs too;

Garage List
My choice would be in this order:
911
RS4
M3

As you have had a E9x BMW, why not change make?
