Cleaning a DVD disc??

Anyone got any top tips for cleaning a DVD disc??

For some reason a couple of our discs are really grubby and won't play any more. The DVD player either displays 'dirty disc' or simply won't play the disc.

No idea what's up with the disc, no other disc is mucky like this, seems it's actually corroded somehow. Here's a quick pic - anything rescue this disc??

I usually just use Hand Antibacterial gel and a clean microfibre cloth.

Cleaning a DVD

Warm water with a drop of washing up liquid. Take a sponge and gently clean from the centre to the edge (not a circular motion). Rinse with plain water and dry by dabbing with a microfibre towel

Is this one of Hoop's DVD's?

If so, there's your [possible] answer. Have you lent it out to Will and this is how it 'came' back?
