TRMotorsport MT1s I run 18X9 all the way around with 245 Dunlop star specs. At 18.5 lbs they very lightweight and I notice it in how lively the car gets with them on. I would highly recommend these rims to anyone. I almost like the look of them on the car more than the Breytons but that probably has something to do with the car being faster too.

ok, thanks for the info. I have heard good things about these wheels.

They only recommend 18x8.5 and have only 2 or less left - FAILBOAT

Tire rack never recommends anything larger than the factory size for the car you enter.

Troy - Yes, I would give kidney and lung for Z06. Maybe even one eye - Eye patches are cool to wear. lol.

No, beemer got it. I am still a ricer at heart. Cannot step up to the plate and play like you big boys. I picked up a silver Evo X GSR used on December 19th. We went to STL to pick it up in the dead of winter. Some old guy and his wife owned it around the TN area and traded it in at a Buick dealership and it went to a Miitsu dealership. He was pretty anal about the dang thing - had the OEM mudflaps on it and blind spot mirrors. He had put on brand new Eagle GT's on the stock wheels and I have the stock Advan's sitting in the garage. She had 5400 miles on it when I picked her up.

I figured I would find 18x8.5's or 18x9 and I could use those tires with them, but no luck finding a wheel.

So, I am unsure what I am going to do. I see people trying to sell those Advans and not getting even 400 for them. Maybe I will take of the GT's and put Advans on.

Here are some pics...

Yeah, I know. I wanted opinions on the wheels and thought beemer had them. I wanted to put the Advans on something and 18x8.5 is decent and they are liggght compared to the Enkeis even. But, no luck, so I gave up.

So, who has the fender roller now? Troy, Jeremy or Justin?

Sure they do. They only go as big as they will guarantee will fit on your car though. When I bought the MT1s I drove over and had them test fit them for me so I knew they'd fit. But they'll sell me a 10inch bbs for the rear and the stock rim is 8.5, for the front they seem to only go up half an inch.

OMG OMG OMG - Have to post this here...

I just went to Target to get some photo printer ink. I am driving back on 128th St or known as James back into Grimes and I am coming to an intersection (road that runs east/west to the Mitsu dealership) and I see a red car coming down it. First I am like wtf - is that a lambo - but, no it isnt. Its a red Ferrari 360 or 430 spider with black wheels and *maybe* window tint, but it was dark out. I slowed down to a creep as he is sitting at the stop sign waiting for me to pass. I wanted to stop and take a picture or do the "We're not worthy" gesture to this car, but there is traffic behind me...

But, I am a 100% sure its a 360 or 430 spider with a black top and black wheels. Sucka was shining and just looked so freakin cool.

Odd to see him coming down the road tho since there is not much there - The grimes power station, a small business park and then turns to gravel.

Freakin sexy...Wish I could have taken a pic!

Bring the wife /girlfriend/kids along who can enjoy the Farmers Market while you enjoy the cars!

Second Saturdays

Partnering with downtown Des Moines' West End Architectural Salvage, Road Rally Charities is excited to present the all new Second Saturdays event series in 2010.

Once a month, from 8:00am till Noon on the Second Saturday of each month through October, we will be cruising downtown to start our weekends. Other fellow auto enthusiasts will be downtown, under the 9th Street Bridge (9th & Cherry at West End Architectural Salvage, next to downtown's Mulberry Street Fire Department) to kick some tires and drink a cup of joe.

If you're adventurous (or your passengers are adventurous), the Downtown Des Moines Farmer's Market gets over 20,000 people every Saturday, and is being held downtown only 4 blocks away from our cruise in.

If you are part of a car club, the Second Saturday event is the perfect place for your club's Saturday event to use as a meeting point.

We're all looking forward to getting our weekend started right at Second Saturday cruise ins!
