Hope im posting on the correct aub forum.

Need advice as my vehicle lease is coming to an end in November. My buy-back is $30,500 and from my understandings that's way below market price (vehicles only has 39k km)

I just contacted my dealership and asked if I wanted to purchase it outright today what it would cost me and they quoted me $36k (I'm assuming because of my remaining lease payments) and an additional $850 (admin fees and safety).

I have decided I don't want to keep the car as my lifestyle has changed (kid - I need a 4 dr) , and my questions is can I find a buyer to buy out my vehicle and I get a finders fee. For example sell the car for $42k, buyer pays me 6k and the buys my lease buy back from the dealer.

FYI. I just bought a brand new 2011 335 xi with 90 miles. 41k. It was a leftover

Can't compare US to Canada pricing and 335xi to 335is.

Do they have Carmax in Canada? I sold my 2011 335is to Carmax about 7 months before my lease expired and was paid $39K USD. More than the remaining balance on my lease, including my $6K in multiple security deposits. Mine only had 13K miles though.

We don't have Carmax in Canada.

Did they buy it of you or BMW ? I'm assuming of BMW as you you didn't own the vehicle. Also did they cut you two cheques. One for BMW and one for you.

They got the payoff direct from BMW and issued payment to BMW and issued a separate check to me for the $6K I put down in MSDs plus the additional amount above the payoff.
