Great mix mate - you must be late 30's or early 40's then ?

Love my DnB even today - listen to DJ Fidjit these days from rough tempo - just gym tunes for me these days !! Was really into my jungle back in the day. Still love Rat Pack - OIY OIY !!

Used to enjoy going to all the Orange raves 'hippodrome / Camden Palace' liked AWOL in Nth London.

@Doughboy funny what you say - great memories and also some very bad ones !!

Will take a look at the sound cloud mixes !! Cheers :-D

wow, I was badly into this scene in '91-'95. Happy hardcore and old skool drum & bass. Use to buy mix tapes from Quest and Fantazia, djs slitmatt, seduction, ellis D, Micky Finn, god the list goes on. It's hard to find any good quility stuff on the web, do you have any links?

Go to podomatic - search on electronic music and then drum and bass - look up Chronicles of Drum and Bass

Bought a controller in 2008 after 7 or 8 years without decks, with Traktor, but never really got on with it, then bought an Allen & Heath with Serato and that felt much more raw and got back into it.

I tend to play stuff at 118-124bpm these days, stuff I want to listen to at home. House stuff though, I guess deep house but always with tech feel and a more underground sound, not 'EDM'!!! haha

I might actually ask if you have a load of old skool tunes that you could send me as someone asked me to do a retrospective mix and could do with a load if you have them?
Serato is amazing! I tried cd mixing around 1997 and instantly knew it wasn't for me. I just enjoy the physical side of mixing too much, pushing buttons does nothing for me

I can sort a list no problem, leave it with me!

41 this November, Im so glad I was around to enjoy the raves and tunes in 92, so many youngsters who like the music say they wish they were there at the time. One of the best years of my life no question

There are loads of communities for sharing mixes, http://onlyoldskool.com/ is a very good one and there are dozens of groups on facebook.
I'll sort a list of the mixes I've got

This list is about a year or so out of date, but it gives you an idea of what I've got.
Hopefully this link will work

Literally a random mix of 128-320k.
Sadly when I ripped my vinyl years ago I assumed 128 would be enough, I wish I knew what I knew now
Slowly I'm upgrading them, but as you can imagine it is a HUGE task

If I sent you a list, no more than 20 odd tunes (promise) would you send them to me?

Or I would buy an external hard drive and you could put the lot on for me??

I've been listening/involved for about 12 years now, having investigated backwards during that time to find all the earlier stuff I missed out on as well... Fair to say its definitely one of my life passions.

Thinking about it, a mix of just Calibre tunes would be a good idea in the near future
Calibre is one of my favourite artists and I actually did a mix to this effect a couple of years ago:

Garage List
I've just found this thread!

Awesome!!!

D&B was never really my cup of tea back then, it was all too moody.

Happy Hardcore was, however. DJ Vibes, Slipmatt, Billy Bunter, etc, etc.

I've got a stack of stuff myself, but I'll have a look through the list you've put up and may well be in touch.

I've got tickets for that, I think they might be sold out now!

I'm trying to relive my youth and I'm wondering:
a) If I'm too old for this shit (34), and
b) Is it as good as people say it is?
