I'm in. On a separate note my COBB is causing misfires in cylinder 6. Bought the plug and wanna change it out until the dealership changes all my plugs under routine maintenance. Does anyone going have the proper tools to do it that I can borrow. Doesn't look to hard, if anyones done it and can do it with their eyes closed and maybe assist, cash, adult beverages, or other monetary rations could be negotiated. Plug 6 so waaayyyy in the back remember.

Not too far. Take I10 east, exit ~597 Santa Clara rd.

It'll be good to see a good group. The weather is supposed to be awesome!

Steve1155: I'll bring my sparkplug tool. PM me tomorrow so I don't forget it.

The Tejas Chapter of BMWCCA is holding its annual Utopia weekend beginning Friday evening, the 21st and continuing through Sunday, the 23rd. We will use Boerne as a base and will be driving the "3 sisters" (TX highways 335, 336, and 337) out to the north and west of SA on Saturday, stopping for lunch at The Laurel Tree restaurant in Utopia. A dinner is planned for Saturday evening, and then more driving in the area on Sunday followed by lunch and then everyone heads home. You don't have to be a club member to come along, but it's advisable to register at http://www.tejaschapter.org in the EVENTS section so they can advise the restaurants on how many people to expect. Should be a great weekend this year, and many of our SA members will be there.

I would venture to say this entire-weekend event is a lot better than the Texas Euro Fest, but that's probably subjective. Guess it depends on whether you're more into tracking and looking at other makes and so forth. I'd like to go to the TEF myself, but I wouldn't miss Utopia. I actually sent ItsJohnnyGuy a message advising him of the conflict quite some time ago, but apparently the die was already cast. Tejas Chapter always has its events on the 3rd weekend of every month.

We have another good driving event next month that is centered around Austin, so you may want to look at that on the website as well.

TEF has a track day on Saturday at Driveway Austin. $80 for participating in the time attack I believe.

If you ever want to get in touch with Johnny let me know. I'm friends with him.

Thanks, Brey - It'd be great if we could coordinate the events he sets up so that they don't conflict with CCA events. That way, a lot of our club members could attend.

Yeah I'll let him know for next time, although I'm sure he knows. Too many BMW owners coming for him not to have been told haha

We had 30 BMWs at our CCA chapter's Utopia event this weekend...most of the ones who went to the other event likely aren't club members.

You oughta join...aside from the national club membership benefits (20% off service, parts, and labor at BMW of Austin, for one), we have a good event every month, including a track session at the San Marcos track once a year.
