you are asking a bmw forum if you should get a mustang. this isn't going to end well, lol.
bottom line is who cares what we think? get whatever car you want. |

I used to have a modified 2004 SVT Cobra - fast as he'll and supercharged... But I must agree on quality and feel heavily favors the BMW. However, the raw power in the 5.0 I am sure is nice... Just keep it straight!! And and aftermarket exhaust is a must, had a MAC and loved the sound!!! Good luck!

after getting rid of my last 335, i actually considered getting into a new 5.0
i knew that i would probably never go through with it, but i did test drive one the interior was just too cheap for me and the graphics on the nav screen were terrible. it also felt so loose going around turns the only good things were the sound and the power, obviously plus it looked badass in the end, it was hard to justify getting that over a new 335, which can be faster when modded, or a used m3 (i still wish i went with the m3) if you do get one, be sure to get the 2012. the headlights and tail lights were updated and look 100x better. and i think it has more power than the 2011

I like my car, but i future maintenance for a 335i will me much higher then the 5.0 in my opinion. 5.0 is one hell of a car. To be even considered, leather, navi, xenons, track pack are needed to make the mustang any where near refined. Interior is seriously trash without navi or leather seats. It's very rental car like. its a cheaper car, bigger grunt, with less maintenance. 335i gives the best of both worlds of speed and comfort. For the price of an 07-08 335 you could have a 2011-2012+ mustang. 5.0s arent dipping down to much on resale value. they are very impressive cars. Im also looking into evo x. |

I agree with you that they used to be that way, but one could argue they've definitely taken the hint. The interiors of the new Viper and Stingray are top notch. The Focus ST interior feels just as nice as a GTIs. Buick and Cadillac are sporting some of the most interesting new designs of our modern car era. Its just my opinion, but in another 5-10 years I see the American quality jokes being a distant memory.
