If this "device" requires printing a circuit board, I may have a source to get us a good deal.

While thats a step in the right open source direction, this project is on the other end of the spectrum.

K so granted I'm joining it fairly late I literally just read the whole 22 pages of this and I'm excited to day the least. I don't get all the he said she said crap but that's besides the point it sounds like rombinhood has done nothing but send us in the right direction forward if nothing else. So all the negativity is useless congrats man I for one can't wait to get my hands on one. And think what you and your team have done is awesome.

The open source map editor (tuner pro, rom raider, ecuflash, etc,.) is different from a closed source map editor (Cobb ATR for instance) in that the locations of the tables (in the ROM) are clearly defined. As well as the axis scaling. Open source map editors also give the user the flexibility to find/define more maps on their own. Therein lies is the advantage of having an open source community. You put dozens of people together on the task of finding/understanding new maps and you will see progress. Quickly. But I'm happy to say that right off the bat, the starting point for the open source map editor used with the Rombinhood device is better than anything else we've seen for the N54 market. Think ATR... on steroids. Of course, I'm a little biased. But you'll see in 2 days

The Subaru and the Evo markets have had open source options for years now. And the description above is accurate and applicable. The user still has to purchase hardware (albeit relatively inexpensive compare to conventional closed source flashing solutions).

I wish you posted this earlier in the thread. haha I think it would have gotten rid of a lot of the bickering back and forth.

There is also going to be some good functionality that will bridge the communication gap between piggy and flash coming down the road soon.

Hi Shiv,

Just wondering if you will be able to offer some kind of remote tuning service using this device and software for us peeps overseas with and without a Procede? (something ala PTF)

I have 2 N54's, one with no tune and one with a procede and would definitely be interested in grabbing a couple of these.

Hi all...
I've been working on my engine and build it for the past 2 years. and the time has come to put a single 6466 turbo.
built bottom end with CP pistons, arrow rods, ported/polished VAC cylinder head.
i had changed every single part in the engine, like new injectors, coils, spark plugs, fuel pump aeromotive, high pressure pump, venos gears,etc...
start exhaust valves.
i changed valves now. still has the codes.
any advice? ed the car, idles fine however it has like a little misfiring.
when i kicked to log, CEL came up.. but it was the same condition.
i ignored the CEL, launched the car and at the end of 4th gear, car stalled.
it bend
