I don't believe anyone has close shots of the new Fine-Line Aluminum Trim as yet. It is not expected to be much different than the previous Brushed Aluminum Trim in general appearance.

Yeah, I should have noted in my post that the picture is of the old aluminum trim. Like Lion said, the new one is not going to be any different. Go marketing!

I personally agonized over the decision between Aluminum Trim and the Dark Burl Walnut. You can find plenty of discussion on this at:

Quite the contrary. The Logic7 Sound System option (677) was included as standard equipment on MY 2008 335i and 335xi models, but incurred a $1200 MSRP charge on 328i and 328xi models. For MY 2009, it is an additional-cost option for all 3-series models. The price for the option was reduced to $875 MSRP, apparently to somewhat lessen the blow to those 335 purchasers who would previously have had it at no charge.

I spent a bit of time closely examining the current Brushed Aluminum trim at my local BMW center today, and I don't see any notable difference between it and the image you posted of the new trim. Perhaps only the name has changed...
