Need some help buying wheels
Hey guys,
so I decided I'm finally gonna get rid of my 189's and go for something aftermarket. I'm thinking VMR V710's (Yea, real original) in gunmetal. I am keeping my stock ZSP suspension, so what are your suggestions? I think I'd like to go 19's, but will I need to roll the fender/what are the correct offsets I should be running? Also, would spacers make a huge difference, or will these rims naturally sit flush without them. If you could give me the numbers I need to run 18's and 19's that would be great! Thanks. On a side note, I have a third party wheel and tire insurance (forgot which one) I'm hoping they will cover ANY wheel and tire, but assuming they will only cover bmw runflats, can I still use the VMR's with bmw OEM tires?

As long as you are at stock height and run the following, you will be perfectly fine.
8.5 +35 front 235 tire 9.5 +33 rear 265/275 tire This is a direct bolt-on fitment, no modifications or aftermarket hardware required. These will be sitting flush with all 4 corners without the need of spacers. Depending on how "flush" you are looking to go, you can always push about 3-5mm more if need be without any problems. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions or concerns. -Charles@VMRWheels

Yes OP you can still run your OEM Runflats if you have to - but if you can avoid it do so. They will fit, but run a little stretched nothing to serious though.
Runflats flat out just suck, weight, performance, handling are all sub par. As to the wheels they are 19x8.5 ET35 19x9.5 ET33 - these are perfect setup for front and rear - there will not be any rubbing. You can lower the car as well. Tire size recommendation is a 235/35-19 and 265/30-19 on them. |
