Black Grilles and 6000k D1S Installed...
Big thanks to Teddy at SSDD-Motorsport and Mark from EvoT for helping me.
Got my chrome grilles swapped out for new black ones and new 6k xenon bulbs to replace the 4.3k stock bulbs Both very simple mods yet very effective. The grilles pretty much just popped out with just a little leverage out of the clips from behind the grilles. The new ones just slotted straight on! They clipped back on themselves. Bulbs were trickier. The wheels need to come off for access to the bulbs plus passenger side has air intake in the way which makes it harder. Teddy did a great job and is patient and methodic, unlike me! Bulbs are as bright as stock, but a much better colour match to the GP Thunders and have a bluey haze compared to the yellow colour of the stock bulbs. Really pleased with them! Some pics below... |

If I had known you were taking picturs with the wheels off I would have asked for a few a shots of the brake discs and calipers !
I'll need to try the matte black look on my M3 ... D.

Sorry mate! lol I have more pics with wheels off, these are just a flavour. Let me know what you need and will PM them to you... The matte black looks great especially against the c/f roof whilst the chrome did nothing |

Looking Paul
Are there any after market exhausts for the new M3 yet, ie. ones that allow for 'more breathing' as it were? |

Yep, there are several exhausts out that are VERY loud and would meet your need for more noise in the cabin Helen. I would opt for the Eisenmann as it sounds the nuts!

Its cheaper buying and shipping from the US, but a c/f rear diffuser is £750! The front diffuser is the same price!
3d design do a nice rear diffuser but still very expensive I'm in contact with a chap in the Far East that makes c/f diffusers for 1/5th of the price and he's currently developing a rear diffuser for the E92 M3, so we'll see what happens |

Good man.
Anyhow, I surrender, I'm tired now. Been on here and booking Euro tunnel & hotels. Steve's had an offer on his Landy on ebay he simply can't refuse. (There's some daft buggers about ). What a night!! |

Oooo that looks evil, in a good way I like very much!
Too many electric bits for my liking though in those cars!

Paul - just replied on the gpthunder thread so apologies for repeating etc - but just wanted to say how good the car looks with the matt black grills - good 'ol Teddy!! Have to say you know how much i hate chrome and the old grills did nothing for the front of the M3 at all. From a distance and if you squint your eyes so you cant see the roof or the air vents & bulge in the bonnet, from the front it could be MY little old car sat there!!!! Gotta get me them lights - did you go to Teddy for him to fit them??

Lol funny how Chrome is just not the "done" thing on BMWs but on MGs Chrome is a lot more desirable, think someone said it isn't even proper Chrome though
Must admit though the black suits your M3 much better, love those bright lights to look at, hate them through my plastic window
