162s on e90 LCI 323i ?
Guys,
Can anyone tell me if I'll have an issue with 162s on a 2009 323i LCI? offset issue or require longer bolts? Any good place to find oem brand new other the the dealer? Thanks! |

Tischer sells them for about $340-350 a piece. I believe they also offer a flat rate to ship a set of wheels but don't know what that is off hand.

I installed a set of replicas 18" 162 on my AW 323i.... lowered the car with Eibach. Looks great.... would be even greater on LCI with increased rear track and 8.5" rear wheels.

By TO I assume you're in Toronto? Extreme Wheel & Tire up on Yonge & 19th sells reps. The owner's name is Mike. I've personally purchased about 6 sets of wheels from them over the years.

$199/18x8 and $209/18x8.5. Any thoughts on putting Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport on 162s? |

The Mich PS2 are almost double the price...no? Also the thread is only 220 compare to 340 on the 760s. I agree the mich are better but are out of reach at the mo.
Considering the price, would the Potenza RE760 Sport still be a decent tire for summer if installed on 162s, 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear? |

Don'T touch the Bridgestone, any Bridgestone RFT. I don't have experience with the Michelin, but Continental are already a great deal better than the crappy Bridgestone.

Continental ContiSportContact 2 ?
Continental ExtremeContact DW? How about the Dunlop Direzza DZ101? These are Z rated and tirerack has them on sell $115/front and $155/rear. BTW, the potenzas 760s are not RFT. I assume you can put a non-rft on the 162s |

Oh sorry, I assumed you wanted Bridgestone for RFT. Then you are open to so many possibilities it is not even even funny.
I bought my tires from tirerack, Yokohama w4s 225/40/18 @ 126$US. I was happy at first but in the second season, they became kind of noisy. |

Not RFT...Surprise you even had that in mind ))
Read very good reviews on Potenza RE760 Sport NOT RFT. Here are the reviews from tirerack, http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes |

My stock setup had the continental rft tires and I found them to be great tires. The thread wear was very good and the drive was comfortable. Noise was present with these tires but I think thats the same with all rft tires.
For my summer set, I just installed some conti contact sport 3 tires and man I am happy with the purchase. The ride and handling work really well this brand. There is definately a big difference in ride quality between the rft and the non-rft. Everything just feels a lot more quiet, and more comfortable with the non-rft tires. I just bought a tire repair kit in case I get a flat with the non-rft. |

You'll be good. I can send you larger pictures of my car (below) if it will help you gauge how they look.

Awesom guys...
Now i just need to get the 162s Jopa489, tx for the offer. If you can send some pics, i would appriciate it! Where did you find your 162s? How is $800/set used sound? One has a fairly big curve damage, and one has a small curve rash. |

You mean curb. Well it'll cost you about $150 a piece to repaint locally, so factor that into your price.

I have no issue with the RE050A tires on my 162 rims - the E90 is my daily driver and for that they are good. Yes, they exhibit the same negatives as any other RFT but I've read reviews where people say they're so loud that it's impossible to have a conversation in the car - and that's just plain wrong. That said, there are still lots of other options for you.
I bought mine from another E90Post member (wheel/tire subforum). The transaction was smooth and the wheels were absolutely pristine. I'll gather up some pics and PM them over to you in a bit.
