SWS-8 mod

How many of you have done this? I have a couple questions. Can other amps be used instead of the earthquake? Or is it a special amp that hooks up to the L7.

Do you control the amount of bass coming from the new subs with your bass adjuster on the iDrive where trebel and fade are. Or do you use some other device to adjust the bass. Reason I ask is because I didnt even know there was a sub under me I can't really feel anything. Im going to have to look just to make sure. I know I have the L7 and it sounds great but a sub under me? Sure doesnt feel like it.
If there is one and I replace it with an amp and the SWS-8 I want it to be worth the cost.

Earthquakes are the SWS-8 subs. you can use any 2-channel amp - some do get hot though.
